MRQ Hawkmoon
Core Rules

The dark empire of Granbretan has conquered much of the world with its twisted science and vast armies, directed by the animal-masked nobles who mark their bestial natures on their faces as well as in their hearts. The small Duchy of the Kamarg, ruled by the noble Count Brass has managed to endure the endless sieges and plots unleashed by Granbretan against that rogue state. The warrior called Hawkmoon was once an assassin sent to kill Count Brass, his hand forced by the fiendish black jewel that sent its foul tendrils burrowing into his brain.

But then he discovered his destiny as the Eternal Champion and held the Runestaff, and magic and hope returned to the world!

Starting the Eternal Champion RPG line, Hawkmoon takes players to our distant future, to a realm where science battles sorcery!

Based on the RuneQuest rules system, Hawkmoon is a complete and self-contained rulebook.

MRQ Hawkmoon
Granbretan

For this was the great power of the Lords of the Dark Empire, that they valued nothing on all the Earth, no human quality, nothing within or without themselves. The spreading of conquest and desolation, of terror and torment, was their staple entertainment, a means of employing their hours until their spans of life were ended. For them, warfare was merely the most satisfying way of easing their ennui.

The Dark Empire of Granbretan reaches out to conquer the world! Within his life-sustaining Throne Globe, the immortal King-Emperor Huon raises a withered hand and a million beast-masked warriors charge across the Silver Bridge. They desire to conquer the world, to enslave all humanity so that the mad Granbretanians can indulge in their twisted lusts or depraved hatreds. No army in Europe can stand against the flame-lances and foul sorceries of the Dark Empire. No force in all the world can staunch the wounds they inflict – save for the eldritch influence of the Runestaff!

War is coming. Where will you make your stand against the Dark Empire?

This 128-page book details all the Byzantine depravities of glorious Granbretan. From its decadent nobility to its twisted history and infamous populace, Granbretan is the essential handbook to adventuring in this dark land. Rounding out this Hawkmoon supplement is a brand new adventure, designed to plunge adventurers head-first into the nightmare – Hunters of Granbretan!

An expansion for Hawkmoon the Roleplaying Game.

MRQ Hawkmoon
Secrets of Tragic Europe

Tragic Europe; a place of sorcerers, magic and unexplainable creatures. Your mission is to go in search of Joyeuse – the great scholar thief of the Second Dark Age. You are charged with this mission by the albino Count Tierkreis, to retrieve the very essence of Joyeuse herself… her soul. The reason for this you do not yet know but the events of your mission may lead you to question his motives, along with all that you have previously held true.

You will travel throughout Tragic Europe. In Eire you will encounter the disappearing city, to Parye for the great Tournament of Champions, on to Eastern Europe and elsewhere and finally to Londre, where you will witness one of the greatest showdowns in history.

Secrets of Tragic Europe is one giant scenario; however each chapter, in its own right, can be used as a stand alone game. So if you only have enough time to battle with a few Granbretanian soldiers and a handful of vile creatures or if you wish to battle your way all across Europe, here in lays the key.

So rally your fellow warriors and arm yourselves well, for ahead of you lay dangers unlike any that you will have encountered before – not even in your darkest nightmares.

MRQ Hawkmoon
Castle Brass

Bowgentle welcomes you to the Kamarg and the famous and ancient Aigues Morte, seat of the Kamarg's protector, Count Brass. Here you will be introduced to the beauties and dangers of the Kamarg, learning something of its turbulent history and how Count Brass and his brave warriors helped make these ancient lands safe for its peoples. You shall learn of deeds of heroism and villainy, strangeness and magic. You shall also learn of its people and their customs, and why the Kamarg has always - and always shall be - aside from France. You shall witness its traditions and customs, and experience the hospitality of these great and gentle folk. We shall guide you through the wildlife of the Kamarg: its famed horned-horses, its bulls, its flamingoes - great enough to bear a rider in flight - and of course, of the dangers lurking within the swamps and waterways, such as the pitiful baragoon and other fearsome creatures that, even now, Count Brass and his warriors seek to commit to memory. So venture, dear traveller, and be welcomed! Castle Brass is yours to behold.Come feel and hear the song of the Mistral!

MRQ Hawkmoon
Hunters of Granbretan

Dorian Hawkmoon, Duke of Köln, has recently passed over the Silver Bridge into Europe on his long journey to Persia as part of his forced mission from the King-Emperor. The black-market city of Karlye barely even knew he had come and gone, before he already had done so. Shortly after his passing, another special adventurer from Granbretan follows. This man, a refugee from the bull-masked Tauran Lords, carries with him a very special sword and gauntlet that he claims must never fall into the hands of his former captors. Wounded, poisoned and exhausted... the man dies, leaving the interesting artefact in the hands of the players. Now they are the ones that are being hunted for possessing it, and they can only hope to escape the city and the many soldiers of the Tauran Lords - unless they can find someone foolish enough to take the mighty weapon off their hands (literally) so they can avoid capture and torture by the Taurans. Everywhere the players go they will find that Karlye is a dangerous and deadly place when it wants to be, and the powerful magic at work in the artefact is doing little to help them in staying unnoticed.
